Almost four years after his first highly acclaimed tour, “Weird Al” Yankovic hits the road with his The Unfortunate Return of the Ridicully Self-Indulgent, Ill-Advised Vanity Tour. One of his tour stops will be in eastern Iowa next year. It will make a stop at the Paramount Theater on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.
Weird Al promises to deliver a different tracklist each night, drawing from their previous catalog of 14 studio albums, meaning no two shows will be the same. As before, instead of focusing on his career successes, the show will feature non-Yankovic parody material. And just like the last Vanity Tour, he’s leaving behind the high-octane theatricality he’s known for and getting basic. No costumes, no accessories, no video screens.
