One New Yorker Set For Chance Of A Lifetime On Food Network

For many chefs, joining the Food Network is an opportunity to further their career. This opportunity for a New Yorker could potentially do so much more.

The New Yorker we’re mentioning is Phillip Tomasso, who already has a pretty incredible story if he never gets to attend a competition show on the Food Network. Tomasso actually owns a restaurant that used to be owned by a former Food Network contestant. That certainly helped him a bit to get a great break.

The bakery he owns, called Something Delicious, is already on the web’s radar for the reason mentioned above. Now, a new show called Chance Of A Lifetime by Guy Fieri is coming up and Tomasso has a chance to seize that opportunity.

That’s the really fun thing about owning a Guy Fieri restaurant. Fieri has restaurant franchises called Chicken Guy and one of those places will go to the winner of the new series, wouldn’t it be great if it was one of the ones in New York? Tomasso currently owns a bakery in Rochester, and this is what he said about almost missing the call to go on the show.

“So, I applied and didn’t hear anything, and still didn’t hear anything, and then I realized that my voicemail box was full and I had missed a call two weeks before I had been chosen to continue. in the next round of screening, and I got a huge text message saying ‘Phil, you have to reach out to us right now, we really love you’, and I was like ‘OMG, I did it!’ ”- Phillip Tomasso / Rochester First

Currently, if you have Discovery Plus, you can start watching the show. The end of the new program is scheduled for February 6. The shows will be released on that platform weekly until then.
