Cream Cheese Delivery Truck Arrived at Momo’s in Ellsworth

Don’t mess with our dessert.

Moma’s Cheesecake Bakery in Ellsworth received a delivery of more than 500 pounds of cream cheese yesterday.

There are 8 ounces in a package of cream cheese that you will find in the dairy box at the grocery store. 16 ounces in a pound. So that’s 2 packages. 500 pounds would be a thousand packages. Yes, that’s a lot of cream cheese.

If you’ve never tried Momo’s Cheesecake, it’s ‘dangerously’ good. One might want a serving every day, or more often. And many times they do.

Momo’s is on Main Street in Ellsworth, and it’s unique in that its store is self-serve. Choose your cheesecake, leave the cash in a can on the counter.

Momo’s is also sold in area grocery stores. And it’s good

We all hear about the slowdown in ‘supply chains’ in recent months and shortages of some supplies and products. Maybe you heard about the cream cheese shortage in December and didn’t give it much thought.

If you’re buying cream cheese, you’re buying it by the pack or two. Not because of the truck load.

Momo’s uses about 300 pounds of cream cheese weekly.

They ran out at the end of December, having to buy it like we buy cream cheese, by the packet at the grocery store.

Then a week ago, they ran out of options and couldn’t sell individual slices.

Momo is Brenda Ledezma. Or Brenda is Momo. He thanked the community for their understanding, and even joked about needing his waists to take a break.

But one week is enough.

They received over 500 pounds of cream cheese yesterday and are working hard right now to get everything back to normal.

Aah, all is well in the world and if not, a portion of Momo will be there for you.
