Oneida County Offering New Testing Sites Offering 24-Hour Results

Oneida County is offering two new mobile testing sites, making more testing available weekdays during business hours.

Now those heading to Turning Stone can count on COVID testing with the amenities offered at the resort and casino.

Beginning Tuesday, January 18, 2022, and until further notice, the Oneida Indian Nation will host the site for weekly drive-thru COVID testing every Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The site at Turning Stone is located at 5218 Patrick Road in Verona. Vehicles must enter the transit site from the entrance on Patrick Road near the SavOn store. Signage is expected to be prominently displayed.

Beginning Wednesday, January 19, 2022, Utica National Insurance Group in New Hartford will offer testing every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday until further notice from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The self-service site is located at 180 Genesee Street and vehicles must enter on Genesee Street.

Those without insurance must pay $125 for the test. For those with insurance, please note that testing is covered by most insurance providers, but residents may want to check with their providers first.

Testing is offered through Precision Clinical Laboratories. The company says it can provide results within 24 hours.

Precision Clinical Laboratories (PCL) will collect and process the COVID-19 PCR test. Test samples are collected via a self-administered nasal swab. Through a written statement, the Oneida County Executive Office says that “PCL is permitted through the New York State Department of Health and certified in compliance with all requirements for high complexity COVID testing.”

In making the announcement, Oneida County Executive Anthony Picente said, “I appreciate the representative and CEO of the Oneida Indian Nation ray halbritter and CEO and Chairman of the Board of Utica National Insurance Group Ricardo Credon for their partnership in these weekly testing sites and Precision Clinical Laboratories for helping us bring this service countywide.”
