When I first read about this happening to a midwest woman I thought to myself, “Well here is a “no-win” situation”
Here is the deal, a woman shared this story on the internet recently. She lives out in the midwest where we all know that snow is part of our lives. One particular stretch she received 14 inches of it. She works from home and pretty much does n’t have much involvement with kids, except when they knock on her front door.
There she saw 4 kids with 8 hands stretched out demanding payment for a job she never gave permission for
This reminds me of when I was young, living in San Diego. My dad had suggested that I go out and “find a job around the neighborhood”, to basically knock on someone’s door and ask if they had any odd jobs I could do to make some extra money. These 4 kids (around 12 years old each) just went out and shoveled her drive-way without asking. According to newsweek.com” “I was really confused because they never knocked to ask if they could shovel my driveway. They just did it without asking and were expecting to be paid,” the woman explained. She does have a name by the way, and she goes by u/beaversm26. That is what she uses when she goes on a social media platform.
One of the kid’s mothers came back to her house to complain
After being told that she didn’t have any cash on her, one of the kids pulled out his cell phone and said that he had his mother’s Venmo information, and she could pay that way. That was the last straw, she told the kids to leave, and of course one of the mothers came over to give her a piece of her mind from her. “The mother explained that it was only $60 and it” was n’t going to break her de ella “and how ungrateful she was being” newsweek.com added. After reaching out on social media, she received a ton of support from people who sympathized with her, sadly though there were people who expressed their negative comments about her and called her every name in the book, that was to be expected though.
