Bozeman has some very talented bartenders and craft drink makers. Locally distilled spirits often play an important part in the best cocktails, but it always boils down to what just tastes good.
Most importantly, we want to hear YOUR opinion about where to get the best cocktail and what makes it so good. Don’t hesitate to chime in with your pick. We can’t possibly cover all of the tasty beverages that are famous in the Bozeman area, so we picked just a few.
PLONK – The well-known GFC would be too obvious. That drink has reached ‘classic’ status long ago. In warm weather, our pick is their Pink Panther. Muddled watermelon, muddled strawberry, house infused citrus vodka, grapefruit juice, served up. (29 East Main Street, downtown Bozeman)
Bozeman Spirits Distillery – The Huckleberry Lemonade at BSD is simply delicious. It’s not complicated or foo-foo, it’s just made with super high quality stuff and just about everyone likes it. Cold Spring Huckleberry Vodka and fresh squeezed lemonade. That BSD huckleberry vodka is liquid perfection. (121 West Main Street, downtown Bozeman)
Ted’s Montana Grill – If you like bourbon, The Haymaker at Ted’s is a treat. Basil Hayden’s, ginger beer, house made switchel syrup, chocolate bitters, with an orange twist. (105 West Main Street, downtown Bozeman)
The Mint in Belgrade – Sometimes a simple ‘twist’ on a classic drink is all it takes to create a new favorite. More than a few of us piped up about the Kaffir Lime Gin & Tonic. “House-infused gin, fresh grapefruit, simple rosemary, served on the rocks.” (27 East Main Street, downtown Belgrade)
Bourbon – One more bourbon cocktail makes our favorites list, and it’s appropriately from the newcomer on this list, Bourbon. Tastiness in a glass is their Plain Dealer. House infused apple cinnamon bourbon, cinnamon demerara, lemon and peach. (515 West Aspen, Bozeman)
There are so many more really good options for a good cocktail in the Bozeman area. We’re blessed with some great bars and restaurants with interesting drink menus and creative bartenders.
Let us know YOUR favorite drink in the area. It doesn’t have to be super fancy, it just has to be super good. We’d love to put together another list with even more suggestions.
