The ramen shortage is causing anxiety in people across the United States. Some disgruntled customers are actually narrating personal videos that requalify the lack of noodle supply and posting them on their personal social media accounts.
Unemployment, Covid-19, and staff shortages are the reason some of you can’t find your favorite flavor of ramen noodles. Recently, I drove to four different stores in my city in an effort to find chicken-flavored ramen noodles. I hit at every stop.
Have you seen how many packages of ramen are being sold online these days? It is crazy and it is causing stress for many people. Ramen is popular for two reasons. It’s cheap (or was) and it’s easy to do.
Social media sites are exploding with people venting on empty ramen shelves. There’s the guy on Reddit who’s furious at the rising cost of the popular low-calorie staple. There are Justin on Twitter wondering why more people aren’t talking about the noodle shortage. He’s a BIG fan of soy flavor if you can’t tell.
A woman shopping at a South Idaho Walmart posted a recent video after her browsing experience came to a halt due to insufficient ramen. I get it, and I’ve also had a minor meltdown trying to locate that most beloved food that is held together by a biofilm that only requires hot water to prepare.
I asked Santa Claus for a 20 pack of chicken flavored ramen. We’ll see if he can deliver.
