Imagine getting a basket of essential groceries you need for your family, walk up to the counter and, instead of telling you a price, they say, “Thank you! Have a great day!” without asking for a single cent.
This is not an April Fool’s joke, this is a reality thanks to our friends at Northwest Harvest.
As KIMA reported, this Northwest Harvest Distribution Center is going in at 20th and Fruitvale.
Fresh produce, items you’d see on shelves at any grocery stores — all available and all for free as needed.
They say you won’t need proof of income for anything, either. If you’re in need of groceries, they’ve got you covered.
This building is still under construction and, unfortunately, it won’t be open until next spring. But it’s something to look forward to.
