Hot And and Delicious Winter Soups In Lansing Area

On a cold winter day, who doesn’t love a hot bowl of hearty soup? mmm, and if I have a bowl to start my lunch or dinner, I tend to eat a little less because the soup fills you up and can be a light snack that I found between meals.

Maybe it’s a bowl of corn chowder, chicken noodles, cream of mushroom soup, Italian wedding, minestrone, or split peas, which my mom always made the day after she had a big ham for dinner.

Over the years, I have found the most use for my slow cooker when making soup. Easy enough to add some fresh meat and vegetables, seasoning, and maybe flavor it with a powdered soup mix from your grocery store shelf.
