Mayo Clinic Tunnel Project To Affect Downtown Rochester Street

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – Another downtown Rochester traffic change is scheduled to begin next week but it will be a short one.

The city Public Works Dept. says traffic on a section of 1st Ave NW will be affected for one week to accommodate a Mayo Clinic tunnel project.

The department says “1st Ave. NW will be completely closed from 1 Street NW to 2 Street NW on February 19 to set up traffic control and prepare for the next phase of construction.”

The department says later in the day, that section of 1st Ave. will be open to northbound traffic only from 1 Street NW to 2 Street NW. The southbound lanes are scheduled to be closed through Feb. 27th.
