TWO sisters have achieved a lifelong ambition by opening their own organic café on the outskirts of Northwich.
Lynn Fowler and Louise Barber-Redmore are deeply passionate about food and where it comes from and always harbored the dream of one day opening their own restaurant.

And now, after decades of home cooking and baking, that day finally came when the brothers opened the doors of The Green Kitchen, located off A49 Warrington Road in Bartington.
The Green Kitchen just opened its doors in Bartington
Lynn, who lives in Acton Bridge, while her sister Louise lives in Woolston, near Warrington, explained how the business went from being a dream to becoming a reality.
“We are both very passionate about food and how it is produced and where it comes from,” he said.
“That is why we have gone the organic route, because obviously now its benefits are being advertised very well.
“We have always cooked and baked, for donkey years, but never before have we had the bottle to take the next step and open a place of our own.”
The leap of faith proved to be a now or never case, with Louise just finishing 20 years working in care, helping children with special needs, while Lynn’s only child heads off to college in September.
“That made me think it was basically now or never, so we did it,” Lynn added.
“All the spirit is organic, fresh and local food.
“In fact, we produce lists that we put on each table, detailing all of our suppliers.
“We try to use as many local companies as we can, because we think that is very important.”
Coffee has even become plastic-free, and glass bottles and cans are preferred, as well as other biodegradable packaging that is used from source to table.
“We are also trying to affect the environmental side of things,” Lynn continued.
“We bake everything at home, as well as making our own hummus and pesto from scratch.
“We are also very people-oriented and have already had lovely people through our doors.”
Not only are people welcomed with open arms at the cafe, but it is also dog-friendly as well as being a popular pit stop for passing cyclists.
The cafeteria specializes in locally sourced vegetarian and organic food and products.
Lynn, who is 57 years old while her sister Louise is 52, added: “We are also very supportive husbands, one designs the kitchen for us, and the other does everything from placing things and doing all kinds of shopping. and load.
“So it has been a very family affair.
“Obviously it is the first time that we have our own business, but so far everything is going very well.
“You are never too old to try to do business, especially if you are passionate enough.
“Obviously, it is more expensive to produce organic food, but we think we will just do it and if people think the same, they will recognize it.”
With vegetarian favorites like hummus, falafel and halloumi ranking high on the menu, as well as crumbled Lancashire cheese and puy lentils, The Green Kitchen is likely to prove popular.
It is located at Bridge Barn, Bartington, CW8 4QU and although it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, it is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10am to 4pm. M. At 4 p. M.
