Sainsbury’s is launching its first box of SO organic vegetables, just in time for organic September. The limited-edition boxes will be available for pick-up tomorrow through October 13, and are packed with a variety of different vegetables.
“Here at Sainsbury’s, we want to help everyone eat better, which is why our SO Organic Veggie Box is a great-value, convenient way to incorporate a wide variety of veggies into your meals and experiment at home.”
The grocery store also has a variety of delicious recipes online that customers can follow while using their vegetable box.
The vegetable boxes will be launched for the first time in 25 stores nationwide, as part of the test from September to October.
After the trial, Sainsbury’s expects to launch the box in another 25 stores from the end of September.
This depends on the success of the vegetable box test.
All components in the box will be British and packed loose in addition to the Broccoli and Cavolo Nero or Kale.
Full product list:
– Carrots (core, in each box)
– Leeks (heart, in each box)
– Potatoes (heart, in each box)
– Cauliflower broccoli (a whole head of brassica in the box at a time)
– Cavolo Nero (kale used as backing)
– Round courgettes or zucchini (seasonal swaps)
In other news, Marks and Spencer recently released a new cake jar, joining their growing range of delicious treats.
The new flavor, which is a lemon meringue, is made up of Madeira sponge cake, lemon buttercream, lemon curd and pieces of meringue.
The single-serving cake is packaged in a reusable, fully recyclable jar.
At a cost of £ 4, customers can find the food in Marks and Spencer’s pastry section.
By taking to social media to share their thoughts on the product, customers were divided.
One buyer tweeted: “Seriously, how can they charge £ 4 for one of them?”
Another said, “I love the other flavors, I definitely add this one to my shopping list.”
