TLC Burgers Sets Sights For Reopening in Downtown Texarkana

It’s hard to believe that TLC Burgers and Fries has been closed in Texarkana since June 19 due to smoke damage from a fire. The popular burger joint has been in business since the early 80’s. Our complex was definitely lost when they had to close for remodeling.

At one point, they were planning and hoping to reopen in November, but that obviously didn’t work out as planned.

Renovations started in August

Renovations began in August as they had to remove burned wood and other construction materials.

Everybody wants to know ‘When will TLC reopen?’

TLC posted on its Facebook page this week:

Small update, we are working as hard as possible to reopen, but contractors are working on their own time, the goal is to see everyone by the end of February … thank you very much to everyone who contacted us.

His Facebook page went on to say that the contractors are working hard and everyone is doing their best at times like these.

Supply chain problems in the US

As we all know, during this pandemic, the supply chain for building materials has been a challenge just like the supply of many other products. But if you’re like me, February can’t come fast enough!

They also mentioned that their famous “Red River Sand” that they use in their famous French fries is available for purchase at GQ Look located at 213 East Broad in Texarkana, Arkansas.

What’s your favorite burger you always ordered at TLC? I always ordered the jalapeno cheeseburger.
