[WATCH] Channel 4 Shows Incredible Rescue In Action

The flooding around Western New York has created a bunch of issues for residents and officials. As the snow melt and rain filled the ice covered creeks with water, residents in some neighborhoods were asked to evacuate and some needed added assistance to get to higher ground as safety. Channel 4 was live as safety crews were moving a family to safety.

The snow and cold air has returned to Buffalo to wrap up a busy week that has shown a variety of weather.

The snow and bitter cold has returned to Buffalo and Western New York after two days of rain and snow melt. But before the temperatures dropped overnight, there were some intense moments along some of the streams and creeks in Erie County.

In a string of Tweets from county officials and the National Weather Service, residents in some areas were being asked to evacuate out of caution.

Emergency crews were busy keeping an eye on those most vulnerable.

The water was rising quickly all over the area Thursday afternoon.

Snow, wind and another warm up are all part of the forecast for the next few days around Buffalo. Be prepared for ice and a slippery commute Friday.
