Watertown Woman Tries to Run Over Two Parole Officers

A Watertown woman is under arrest after she allegedly tried to hit two New York State probation officers with a car.

New York State Police say that on Thursday, January 20, 2022, two New York State Probation Officers attempted to approach Tayler E. Glass, a parolee who allegedly did not show up to register with his agency. . Glass is on probation for forgery and theft charges.

They say the 30-year-old from Watertown was in a vehicle when officers tried to approach her. Then, according to a written statement from the NYSP, Glass “accelerated, nearly hitting an officer and causing the officer to fear they would kill him. A few minutes later, they again encountered glass in one parking lot, when she backed into the second one.” officer, almost hitting her. Glass then physically resisted being arrested.”

There are no reports of injuries sustained.

She was eventually arrested and charged with the following:

  • Reckless Endangerment in the First Degree (Class D Felony)
  • Resisting Arrest (Class A Misdemeanor)
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree (Misdemeanor)

Glass was prosecuted and, due to the parole order and previous felony convictions, was sent to jail without bail.
