MACY’S CONTINUES TO CLOSE RETAIL LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY

Is our local Macy’s store closing in St. Cloud soon?

Before the whole Covid thing became the norm, Macy’s had announced that it planned to close roughly 125 retail stores and cut 2,000 corporate jobs as part of its three-year plan to reposition its stores and use its many other sales channels. more effectively.

They didn’t list all of the locations that would be closing in 2020 when they made the announcements, and after the pandemic hit, they also had to temporarily close stores for months.

Macy’s now plans to close the new round of stores in early August, according to sources.

It leads us to wonder; Will Macy’s in St. Cloud be on the cut list? What about Macy’s at the Mall of America in Bloomington? That would be a great closing for us.

REVIEW OF THE STORE HOURS

Currently, as Covid-19 cases continue to rise, they plan to review their store hours at all of their existing locations Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and leave their hours unchanged from Friday to Sunday, which are different. at each location.

For Macy’s fans in Minnesota, it seems like we’re in luck. I don’t see Minnesota store closings on this year’s list, and it turned out we weren’t on last’s lists, either.
